Oh look, I'm in New Zealand

A pile of delicious feijoas
Feijoas, if you even care

I can judge billionaires for a lot of things but I can never quite bring myself to condemn private jets, despite the emissions because I know I would absolutely get one if I could.

Of course that's mainly a reaction to how brutal and dehumanising flying anywhere feels, and it feels that way because of rampant capitalism that insists on squashing the biggest possible number of people into the smallest possible space and maybe if no one was rich enough to afford a private jet then commercial travel wouldn't be a nightmare I'm desperate to escape, but that's simply not the world we live in yet.

So anyway, we got stuck in Singapore for a day and a half and we didn't even get to see Singapore, and we had many additional stressful things pop up in and around being stuck in Singapore, but that's last week and now we are simply here, we're in Christchurch, we're in my mum's house, we're getting enough sleep, everything's fine.

We're not going to manage any trips around the place on this visit, we're in Christchurch for the duration, so what do you do in New Zealand when you're not, like, exploring the exquisite natural world and what have you?
